Lords of landscaping

Its that time of year where I need to whip out a vip customer card at the local garden center due to my frequent visits.  (If your financial advisor has encouraged you buy stock in Menards, go ahead, I'm sure to drive up the price a buck or two over the next couple weeks.)  Me wandering around Menards with no real plan in site = trouble for Jay, lol!

A few mud baths over the last few evenings, and we are starting to see some real progress.  I'm kinda sad I don't have before picture for comparison purposes, however the only thing back there before this project started were two rose bushes.  So use you imagination for the "before's" :)

Hey All!  

Just a quick update on The Corbetts!

Not too much exciting stuff happening around our neck of the woods :). I got to spend last Sunday evening in my tornado shelter with Benjamin and Otis.  Jay went golfing with one of his buddies.  Thank goodness all we got was hail.  Speaking of tornados, my heart is with everyone in OK.  It's hard to imagine that a simple storm can take so much in such a short amount of time.  And while, I live in "tornado alley", and deal with severe storms on a regular basis, it's just something you never think will happen to you.

This week I am finishing up a wedding cake and getting ready for the holiday weekend.  Woot woot!  After a few crazy weeks at work, I need a long weekend.  

We also received a new mattress today for our room.  Pretty exciting.  We picked it out when we were in KC about a week ago at Nebraska Furniture Mart.  That place is dangerous, and even more dangerous with an open account there, hehe!  However, they offer interest free financing for a crazy amount of time and they deliver to Wichita, win-win.

Other than that, just spending a lot of time at the gym, working on my beach bod :) 46 days and we are beach bound!

Did a little craft'n tonight! Since I know only about 10 people scheduled to have children in the next few months, I have been putting together a few items these little kidlettes may need :)
