Week 36 - What's left for some Lettuce

The end is near...about 25 more days to go! Babe is the size of a head of lettuce this week.  Not too many more fruits/veggies to grow to and you will be here!

We had our next to last baby class this week.  Jay and I weren't very good students this week. We forgot we were supposed to practice some of the things we learned in previous weeks.  That's ok, we weren't the only ones, and we did just fine.  I had a slight moment of panic though when the instructor said "Who practiced like they were supposed to over the last week?"  It was like I was back in school and just reminded about a quiz I hadn't studied for.

Next week we have a few things to wrap up related to newborns and birth plans.  We also have our "graduation party" (as I'm calling it).  I'm going to be bringing some baby themed sugar cookies as my snack item.  I'm sure all the preggies will love them :)

In other news, Jay has his bag packed for the hospital, and has been getting on me to get mine packed, as well.  He must of been paying attention in class, because that is one of the things we went over this week.  I gave him a hard time and asked if things at home were that bad that he had to pack 4 weeks early :)  So as it sits right now, Jay will just be headed to the hospital without the babe and I, because I will still be at home packing.

We are now on weekly trips to the OB.  I would like to state again that I love our OB.  She really is so fun and our personalities match up so well.  She was talking about inducing some miserable mama's and said she uses "T.O.B.P." as her medical reason.  After I looked at her confused, she smiled and said "tired of being pregnant and sometimes us Dr.'s are T of mama BP, too".  Thank goodness I haven't reached that point yet.  I feel like I am handling it all pretty well at this point.  I still am feeling pretty good and haven't hit the point of tapping out.

After being checked, everything looks good; Baby Corbie is head down and I am almost dialated to a 1.  Pretty happy about that, since last week I was at nothing.  (hey, progress is progress)  She let us know that if I were to go into labor after this Thursday, that we could deliver at the birthing center and they would let me go :)  Maybe that's why Jay packed his bag, lol.

Also, I think Benjamin and Otis know their days as "only children" are numbered.  Actually, the last couple of days, Benjamin keeps looking at me and then going into the nursery, and hiding under the crib, refusing to get out.  I have questioned whether she knows something that I don't (just like when dog/cat know a thunderstorm is about to roll in)  :)  Only time shall tell.

This week I have my work shower on Friday.  I talked Jay into waiting to pack for the babe until after Friday, just in case we need to pack a few things I receive at the shower.  We really don't need much more, but then at least we should know if there is anything last minute items we need to get.  One item that we will probably need to get, probably sooner rather than later, is this (for Uncle Eric, lol):

Love,
Jay, Jenna & Baby Girl Corbie
